PMOs in GCCs are no longer just a cost arbitrage – they’re strategic value engines for global enterprises to accelerate their transformation programs. The winning PMOs are those that connect strategy to delivery while optimizing every dollar spent. This presentation explores how global organizations are reshaping their PMO services in GCCs to unlock this strategic potential. We’ll explore four transformational advances: how PMOs are evolving from low-end service providers to orchestrators of value, the shift toward dynamic cost centre structures that enable real-time resource optimization, the depth of technology and data analytics in elevating decision-making, and the emergence of integrated PMO ecosystems that break down organizational silos.
About the speaker
Athar is an Aerospace Engineer with an MBA degree. He has worked for 24 years in the consultancy industry and is now in the leadership team of AtkinsRealis’ PMO in India. Athar has also set up a multi-disciplinary PMO team for his company in Cairo, Egypt. His team supports small to major projects in design and construction in Middle East, UK, US and Canada.
Besides his regular job Athar engages in mentoring professionals to be their best. He practices Systems Thinking in his approach to work and life. Likes to keep himself physically and spiritually fit.
