Abstract

India’s construction industry faces persistent challenges—low productivity, labour shortages, reliance on bespoke methods, and outdated delivery models. Traditional approaches no longer meet the demands of speed, scale, and sustainability.
This session introduces Lean Construction as a structured solution, integrating it with technology (BIM, DFMA, digital tools), collaborative contracting (IDP), and a Shared Savings Model to drive performance and eliminate waste.
Drawing from my book and research, I will present the Lean Integrated Delivery Model (LIDM)—a contextualised framework designed to transform how projects are conceived, delivered, and measured in India.
Proven outcomes from projects like the NetApp Campus will illustrate real-world impact on time, cost, and sustainability

This session introduces Lean Construction integrated with technology (BIM, DFMA), Integrated Project Delivery (IDP), and a Shared Savings Model—forming the Lean Integrated Delivery Model (LIDM) developed through my research and field application.
Attendees will gain practical insights into how LIDM can:
• Improve cost, time, and quality outcomes
• Enable collaborative, tech-enabled delivery
• Replace legacy inefficiencies with scalable, future-ready systems
Real-world results from innovative projects like NetApp Campus will demonstrate how to lead transformation in your own organizations.
