Abstract
What happens when you hand something important to AI, and quietly get an answer no one checked?
Every delivery team is under pressure to “add AI” somewhere. Some of it pays off. Some of it fails silently, and you don’t find out until it’s too late. The difference isn’t the tool; it’s whether you understood what you were handing it.
In this talk I’ll introduce the AI Riskometer, a needle that swings from green to red based on two questions: Can you live with a probabilistic answer? and Is there a human genuinely in the loop? Green is where AI earns its place: drafting, summarizing, first-pass work a human reviews. Red is where you need a deterministic answer and nobody is checking, such as auto-approvals, unchecked releases, decisions with real consequences. Amber is everything in between, useful but only with guardrails. Using real delivery use cases plotted across the meter, I’ll show you how to read the needle before you commit, and give you the one question that settles it: what happens when it’s wrong, and who finds out?

About the speaker
AI builder at heart — I design, build, and ship AI agents, skills, and tools that people actually use every day, from org-wide AI products to reusable agents and prompts other teams build on top of.
I pair that with 13+ years leading technical programs and product delivery— multi-team cloud transformations, release management, data-driven forecasting, and metrics that leadership actually acts on. I have also spent years as a leadership and team coach, helping engineers, PMs, and execs cut through noise and do their best work.
I have worked across early-stage startups and large enterprises. That mix taught me the same lesson everywhere: whether the problem is a broken release process or an unclear AI strategy, it pays to think in systems and get hands-on with the tooling rather
than stay theoretical. I am also an active open source contributor and blogger, sharing what I learn along the way.
When I am not building or leading, you will usually find me on a badminton, snooker, or pickleball court. In my free time, I love reading Swami Vivekananda.
